If you're in El Tunco and want to learn to surf, definitely take lessons with Wayo. I had always wanted to try surfing and decided to take a couple of lessons. Wayo is really patient and motivating, which was helpful as I was a bit nervous. Wayo also speaks English really well, which is super helpful. His explanations were clear and to the point, and he got me standing up on a board quickly. The other instructors are really great as well. They are always happy to give great advice and tips to improve your new skills. I definitely recommend learning to surf with Wayo or one of the instructors at his shop. It will be a highlight of your trip in El Salvador.
